De Zurda

Manifesto

We play with the left foot: Diego's leg, and Galeano's sidewalk.

We are what we do to change what we are. — Eduardo Galeano

De Zurda is not a scores site. It is a terrace.

We believe, as Galeano believed, that football is an art even if it is played with the feet, and that it deserves to be told with the same passion it is lived with. And we believe, as Maradona proved, that the ball always returns to those who love it —and that it is loved most by those who have the least.

What we believe

  • Beauty before duty. A nutmeg is worth more than three square passes. A dribble is an argument.
  • Football belongs to the people. It was born on dirt pitches, in neighborhoods, in backyards. It does not belong to the brands: it belongs to whoever plays it and whoever screams it.
  • Two languages, one passion. We write in Spanish and English because this World Cup unites three countries and an entire continent. The left foot needs no translation, but the stories do.
  • Memory and analysis. We look at the data without kneeling before it. Numbers explain; stories move.

What you’ll find here

Match reports that smell of wet grass. Tactical analysis without solemnity. Essays that dare to be poetry. And coverage of the 2026 World Cup written from the heart of the Americas.

Welcome to the terrace. Take off your hat —we’re going to beg for a beautiful play together.
